Do you have big plans for that patch of lawn in front of your schul? Dreaming of a rooftop garden at your Hillel? Want to learn how to make challah and kraut from scratch with kids? Curious about the incredible history of Jewish agriculture and how its being practiced today?

See what’s possible! Get your hands dirty! Plant tomatoes! Make pickles!

  • Learn the skills to build your own Jewish learning garden: work side by side with professional farmer/magician/educators to design and build an edible garden on-site, unearthing the various elements that make it Jewish.
  • Experience our groundbreaking experiential Farm to Table educational curriculum and learn how to apply it for all ages in your own community!
  • Explore what Jewish texts and traditions have to say about food justice, and how to properly care for the land.

If you're an educator, parent or camp counselor seeking to create or revive a learning garden, or want to bring the world’s most innovative farm to table programming to your community, this is the track for you! With a dual focus in Permaculture Garden Design for Jewish Communities and Jewish Farm to Table Education, this track will give you the tools and inspiration to manifest radically successful food and garden projects.
